How Drive Tribe started
Drive Tribe began with a simple frustration. Our fleet philosophy
Most rental photography you see online is synthetic. Cars are rendered, backgrounds are invented, and the vehicle you book bears only a passing resemblance to the one that arrives. We do not work that way.
Every car in the Drive Tribe fleet is photographed as itself. Real paint, real wheels, real interior, real condition at the time of listing. If there is a stone chip, we would rather you see it before you book than discover it at handover. If the specification is unusual, we will show you why. The photograph is a record of a specific vehicle, not an illustration of a model. This matters for a practical reason. When you book a prestige or performance car, you are booking a particular example with a particular history. Our listings reflect that. What you see is what arrives.
How bookings work
The booking process has three stages, and each one exists for a reason.
Verification comes first. Before a booking is confirmed, your identity and driving eligibility are checked through a trusted third-party provider. This protects the fleet, protects our insurance position, and protects you. It is not a formality, and it is not negotiable. The same applies to any additional driver you wish to add.
The bond is handled at the same stage. A refundable security bond is taken as part of the booking, held against the condition of the vehicle and returned in line with the terms you agree to at checkout. We are upfront about the amount before you commit, and we do not invent deductions after the fact.
Handover is the part we take most seriously. Every Drive Tribe vehicle is released in person, at a scheduled time, by a team member who walks the car with you. Condition is documented, controls are explained, and any questions you have are answered before you drive away. The same process runs in reverse at return. This is what we mean by a verified handover, and it is the single biggest difference between renting from Drive Tribe and renting from a faceless platform.
