- Delivered across Sydney
- Bond and fees shown before you pay
- Never swapped to a lesser car
Chauffeur car hire in Sydney means a driver brings a prestige or performance car to you, stays with it for your booked window, and takes you where you need to go. Drive Tribe quotes each chauffeured job individually based on the car, the hours and the route. The quote is confirmed with you before you pay.

A chauffeured booking puts you in the passenger seat of a car you would otherwise drive yourself, with a driver who brings it to you and stays with it for the window you book. Drive Tribe runs chauffeured work across Sydney, from airport runs to weddings and events, and quotes every job individually. You can also mix self-drive and chauffeured cars on the same day.

Chauffeur car hire with Drive Tribe is a driven prestige or performance car for a set window of hours, quoted per job. You are a passenger. The driver brings the car to you anywhere in Sydney, stays with it for the booked window, and takes you where you need to go. You do not need a licence check, a bond or damage cover, and there is no minimum age to be driven.
Drive Tribe is a Sydney prestige and performance car hire company. Guests book online, and the same fleet that is available for self-drive can be booked with a driver. That includes the Mercedes-AMG G63 and the Mazda RX-7 FD, which are chauffeur only, and cars like the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, Lamborghini Huracan and Tesla Model X P100D, which can be self-drive or chauffeured.
Chauffeured work suits airport transfers, weddings, formals, VIP guests, special events and any day where you would rather not drive. The online checkout for a chauffeured booking is three steps: trip, extras, pay. Everything in the quote is set out before you pay. See the full range of services or browse the fleet.
Which cars can I hire with a chauffeur in Sydney?
Two cars on this page are chauffeur only: the Mercedes-AMG G63, a black five-seat performance SUV based at Merrylands, and the Mazda RX-7 FD, a Japanese classic based at Parramatta. Both are booked with a driver only, and you can read more on the Mercedes-AMG G63 (chauffeured) car page and the Mazda RX-7 FD (chauffeured) car page.
Eight more cars can be booked either way, self-drive or chauffeured. The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 650S Coupe, Ferrari FF V12, Mercedes-AMG GT, 2024 BMW M3 Competition xDrive, Tesla Model X P100D and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss all offer both. The Tesla Model X seats seven and suits airport runs and families. The Huracan, 650S and AMG GT are two-seaters. The Ferrari FF V12 seats four.
If you want a driven Lamborghini in Sydney, the Huracan is the car to ask about. If you want a G-Wagon chauffeur in Sydney, both the G63 and the G-Wagon are available with a driver. The guide to luxury car hire with a driver explains when a driven car beats self-drive.
“Amazing fleet of luxury cars. Great service from James; he's very professional and charismatic.”

How is a chauffeured booking priced?
Chauffeured work is quoted per job. The quote reflects the car, the hours and the route, so there is no published hourly rate and no minimum number of hours to work around. You tell Drive Tribe what you need, and the quote is set out before you pay.
This is different from self-drive, which is priced per day. Each car page shows a from Saver rate, and the checkout offers Saver, Flexible and Instant rate plans. Longer hires taper. For example, the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon starts from $1,500 a day, the Lamborghini Huracan from $2,500 a day, the McLaren 650S Coupe from $2,600 a day, the Ferrari FF V12 from $1,600 a day, the Mercedes-AMG GT from $1,200 a day, the 2024 BMW M3 Competition xDrive from $800 a day, the Tesla Model X P100D from $200 a day and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss from $400 a day. The lowest self-drive Saver day rate among the cars that can be either self-drive or chauffeured is $200 a day, and across the whole page it is $200 a day.
Those day rates apply to self-drive. For a chauffeured booking, ask for a quote for your trip and the answer will cover the car, the hours and the route. Everything in the quote is set out before you pay.
What does the driver do on the day?
The driver brings the car to you and stays with it for the booked window. That is the whole arrangement. You are a passenger, so you get in, the driver handles the driving, and the car stays with you until the window ends.
Because the driver stays with the car, a chauffeured booking works well when your day has several stops: a pick-up at home, a first stop, a second stop, and a return. You are not arranging a series of separate trips. You book one car and one driver for the window, and the car is there when you come back.
Delivery and collection anywhere in Sydney is priced by distance and shown before you pay. The same applies to a chauffeured booking: the pick-up point and the route are part of the quote. If you are planning a day with a formal, a reception and a late return, a driven car keeps the logistics simple. The formal car hire page covers that kind of day in more detail.
No licence, no bond, no minimum age
A chauffeured guest is a passenger, so there is no licence check, no bond and no damage cover to buy. The driver brings the car to you and stays with it for the booked window, and everything in the quote is set out before you pay.
Get a quoteCallWhatsAppCan I book a chauffeur for an airport transfer?
Yes. Airport transfers are one of the most common chauffeured bookings, and the Tesla Model X P100D is the natural choice because it seats seven and handles luggage for a family or a small group. You can read more about the Model X airport transfer.
A chauffeured airport transfer means the driver brings the car to you, takes you to the airport, and the car stays with you for the booked window. If you want the car waiting on your return, ask and it can be quoted too. The trip, the hours and the route are all set out before you pay.
If you would rather drive yourself to the airport, self-drive luxury car hire is also available, and the Sydney Airport self-drive page covers that option. Mascot is close to the airport, and the Mascot and airport location page covers pick-up near the terminals. For a driven airport transfer, ask for a quote with your flight times and your pick-up address.
Is there an age limit or licence check for chauffeured hire?
No. A chauffeured guest is a passenger. There is no licence check, no minimum age, no bond and no damage cover to buy. The minimum age rules that apply to self-drive, which are set per car at 20, 25 or 30, do not apply when you book a driver.
That makes chauffeured hire a straightforward option for a group where not everyone holds a licence, or for a celebration where the point is to arrive without driving. You book the car and the driver, and you travel as a passenger. Nothing about the booking depends on your licence status.
Self-drive is different. If you want to drive the car yourself, your licence is verified through a trusted third-party provider, a bond pre-authorisation is held on your card and released after the car comes back, and the minimum age for that car applies. The VIP car hire page and the chauffeur guide both explain the driven side in more detail.
When is self-drive the better choice?
Self-drive is the better choice when you want to be behind the wheel yourself, when your day is flexible, and when you are happy to handle parking and the route. It is priced per day, so a full day of driving is easy to plan around. Each car page shows a from Saver rate, and the checkout offers Saver, Flexible and Instant plans.
Self-drive also makes sense for a longer hire. Day rates taper on longer hires, and you keep the car for the whole period rather than for a window of hours. If you are planning a weekend away or a full day on the road, self-drive usually works out better than a chauffeured window.
Chauffeur is better when the day is about arriving, not driving. Weddings, formals, VIP guests, airport runs and events all suit a driven car. You can also combine the two: a chauffeured car for the ceremony and a self-drive car for the rest of the day. The wedding car hire page and the special event car hire page show how that works in practice.
How do I book a chauffeur?
Start by telling Drive Tribe the car, the date, the hours and the route. Because chauffeured work is quoted per job, the quote comes back with the car, the hours and the route set out, and everything in the quote is shown before you pay. You can call or message 0468 011 118, or use the contact page.
Once the quote is agreed, the online checkout for a chauffeured booking is three steps: trip, extras, pay. There is no licence check, no bond and no damage cover to buy, because you are a passenger. The driver brings the car to you anywhere in Sydney and stays with it for the booked window.
If you are still choosing, browse the full fleet or the services page. The locations page lists where cars are based, including Sydney CBD, Mascot, Bass Hill, Cecil Hills and St Marys. For a driven arrival with a bit of presence, the celebrity car hire page is worth a look.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a chauffeur cost in Sydney?
Chauffeured work is quoted per job, not per hour. The quote reflects the car, the hours and the route, so the price depends on what you book. Ask for a quote with your date, your pick-up point and your stops, and everything in the quote is set out before you pay.
Which cars can I book with a driver?
The Mercedes-AMG G63 and the Mazda RX-7 FD are chauffeur only. The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 650S Coupe, Ferrari FF V12, Mercedes-AMG GT, 2024 BMW M3 Competition xDrive, Tesla Model X P100D and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss can be booked either self-drive or chauffeured.
Is there an age limit for a chauffeured car?
No. A chauffeured guest is a passenger, so there is no minimum age, no licence check, no bond and no damage cover to buy. The minimum age rules of 20, 25 or 30 apply only when you drive the car yourself. Anyone travelling as a passenger can be any age.
Can I book a chauffeur for an airport transfer?
Yes. Airport transfers are a common chauffeured booking, and the Tesla Model X P100D seats seven, which suits families and groups with luggage. The driver brings the car to you and stays with it for the booked window. Your flight times and pick-up address go into the quote.
Can I mix a chauffeured car and a self-drive car on the same day?
Yes. You can book a chauffeured car for part of the day and a self-drive car for the rest. A common pattern is a driven car for a ceremony or an arrival, then a self-drive car for the evening. Each booking is quoted separately, and both are set out before you pay.
How far will a chauffeur travel from Sydney?
Chauffeured work is quoted per job, so the route is part of the quote. Longer routes are quoted on the same basis as shorter ones: the car, the hours and the route. Tell Drive Tribe where you are going and the quote will cover it.
How do I get a quote for a chauffeured car?
Tell Drive Tribe the car, the date, the hours and the route. You can call or message 0468 011 118, or use the contact page. The quote comes back with the car, the hours and the route set out. The online checkout for a chauffeured booking is three steps: trip, extras, pay.
Can I choose the colour of the car?
You can choose from the cars listed on this page. The Mercedes-AMG G63 is black. For other cars, the listing shows what is available, and the same-tier guarantee means you are never swapped to a lesser car. If your car is unavailable, you are offered one of the same tier or told plainly.
