- Delivered across Sydney
- Bond and fees shown before you pay
- Never swapped to a lesser car
The 650S is the McLaren that most people have forgotten about, and that is precisely why it is the interesting one. It sat between the 12C that established the company and the 720S that made it famous, and it quietly fixed almost everything anyone had complained about. What you get is a carbon-tubbed, twin-turbocharged, 478kW mid-engined car that will still keep pace with things costing twice as much a decade later.

Delivered anywhere in Sydney, or collect from Mascot or Parramatta.
It is also the most surgical car in our fleet. Where the Huracan is theatre and the Ferrari is grand touring, the McLaren is precision. The steering is hydraulic rather than electric, which almost nothing offers any more, and it tells you what the front tyres are doing in a way modern rivals simply do not.

What It Is Actually Like in Sydney
The doors are not a gimmick, they are the event
We are going to be honest about this because everyone who books it cares about it: the dihedral doors are the single most photographed thing in our fleet. They swing up and forward, they need less kerb clearance than a conventional door, and every single time you park somebody will stop and watch. If the booking is for an occasion, this is the car.

It rides better than you expect
McLaren replaced conventional anti-roll bars with a hydraulically interlinked suspension system, and the practical result is a supercar that is genuinely tolerable on Sydney road surfaces. Parramatta Road will not destroy your back. That is not something you can say about most cars with these numbers.
Rear-wheel drive, and that matters here
Unlike the Huracan and the FF, the 650S sends everything to the rear wheels. In the dry it is glorious. In heavy Sydney rain it demands respect and a lighter right foot. If your dates look wet and you are not experienced with rear-drive power, we will tell you honestly to take the Lamborghini instead.
The roads worth the booking
The Old Pacific Highway is the one. Long, sweeping, well-sighted corners are exactly what this chassis was built for, far more than short sharp stuff. The Royal National Park run works too. Save the tunnels for the Lamborghini.
Things You Should Know Before You Book
Two seats, and a boot under the front lid that is genuinely usable by supercar standards. A weekend for two is realistic in a way it is not in the Huracan.
The nose is low. It has a lift system, we will show you it at handover, and you will want it for most Sydney driveways and every underground car park ramp.
Getting in and out takes practice. The carbon tub has a wide, high sill you step over rather than slide past. It is easy once someone shows you, and slightly undignified until then.

If the 650S is booked
We never move you down a tier. If your dates are taken, these are the supercar cars we will offer instead, and we will tell you plainly if none of them is free rather than substituting something lesser on the day.
Lamborghini Huracan
- 449kW
- 3.2s
- AWD
- 2 seats
Naturally aspirated V10 and all-wheel drive. The most dramatic of the three and the safest in the wet.
Ferrari FF
- 486kW
- 3.7s
- AWD
- 4 seats
A 6.3-litre V12 with four real seats and a usable boot. The only supercar here you can take on an actual trip.
Wet forecast?
The 650S is rear-drive. Tell us your dates and we will give you an honest recommendation.
Guide rates, weekday winter pricing. Longer hires taper; the exact total for your dates is shown before you pay.
The bond held on your card equals the excess of the cover you choose. It is a pre-authorisation, released after return.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I collect it?
Our Mascot depot, which is closest to the airport and about 8km from the Sydney CBD, or our Parramatta depot for the western side. We also deliver across the Sydney metro area through our host network, including Bankstown, and for a car this low that is usually the easiest option.
What licence and age do I need?
A full Australian or recognised overseas licence held for the required minimum period. Provisional licences are not accepted. Supercars carry additional age and driving-history requirements, confirmed before your booking is accepted rather than after.
Is there a security bond?
Yes, a refundable hold placed at pickup and released after the car is returned and inspected. Supercar bonds are higher than the rest of the fleet and the amount is shown before you confirm.
Can I take it on a track?
No. Circuit and track use is not permitted on any of our vehicles.
Is it hard to drive?
In Normal mode, no. It is docile, the visibility forward is good and the dual-clutch is smooth. The difficulty is entirely in resisting the last third of the throttle travel.
Can I take it interstate?
Not without prior written approval. We assess supercar interstate requests individually.
