- Delivered across Sydney
- Bond and fees shown before you pay
- Never swapped to a lesser car
The land around Badgerys Creek is not being developed as an airport with some offices attached. It is being developed as a business precinct that happens to have a runway in the middle of it, and the people who will use it first are the ones for whom the car waiting outside has always mattered more than the terminal it is parked at.

A prestige car, at the terminal, when you land
Give us the flight number and the car is there. No counter, no shuttle bus, no upsell at a desk after eleven hours in the air.
The Aerotropolis Is the Point, Not the Runway
Most airports grow a commercial district slowly and accidentally, in whatever land happens to
be left over. Western Sydney has been planned the other way around. The precinct surrounding the
new airport was designated and zoned before the first passenger flight, with the explicit
intention of drawing in advanced manufacturing, logistics, defence, agribusiness and research.
That matters for a car hire article for one unglamorous reason. It means a meaningful share of
the early passenger traffic at WSI will not be holidaymakers. It will be people flying in for two
days of meetings at a site in the precinct, or coming from Melbourne or Singapore to look at a
facility, and their requirements are specific: be on time, look appropriate, do not spend the
first forty minutes of the trip in a queue.
The counter is the part that fails
Anyone who travels regularly for work has a version of the same story. The flight was fine. The
bags came out quickly. Then there were nine people ahead at the rental desk, one agent, and a
mandatory conversation about excess reduction while a meeting started somewhere without them.
The counter exists because the rental model requires it: a fleet parked in a compound, an
agent to process the contract, a shuttle to connect the two. Every one of those is a place the
process can stall, and they stall hardest at exactly the moments when a business traveller has the
least slack.
We removed the counter rather than trying to make it faster. The car comes to the terminal
against your flight number and the handover takes the time it takes to walk around the vehicle
together. There is no desk, no shuttle and no queue, because none of those things were ever doing
anything for you.
What Prestige Actually Buys at an Airport
There is a version of luxury car hire that is entirely about the badge, and we are not
especially interested in it. The parts that genuinely change an arrival are more boring and more
useful.

Refinement over a real distance
Badgerys Creek is forty-four kilometres from the CBD and about forty from Parramatta. Wherever
you are going, you are driving properly rather than transferring. A Range Rover Sport on air
suspension turns that into a quiet forty minutes; a small hatchback turns it into forty minutes of
road noise at the end of a long flight. That difference is the actual product.
A boot that takes what you brought
Business travel luggage is not large, but two people with cabin bags and a suit carrier still
defeat a lot of cars once you add a laptop bag each. The vehicles we run at this tier take the lot
without anyone rearranging anything on the kerb, which sounds trivial until it is raining.
Arriving in something appropriate
Sometimes the car is part of the message, and pretending otherwise is silly. If you are
collecting a client from the terminal, or driving to a site visit where the person you are meeting
will see the car, it does a job. A G-Wagon is the clearest example in our fleet: five seats, a
proper boot, and the most recognisable shape on the road. It works as a practical airport vehicle
and as an occasion at the same time, which very few cars manage.
The Cars We Would Actually Put on a WSI Arrival
Range Rover Sport, for almost everything
This is the default and it earns it. Five adults with luggage, air suspension over long
motorway legs, and the kind of cabin that makes a forty kilometre drive at the end of a long
sector restful rather than something to endure. If someone asks us what to book for a business
arrival at Badgerys Creek and gives us no other information, this is the answer.
Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, when the arrival is the event
The 2018 G63 produces 430kW from a twin-turbo V8 and reaches 100km/h in 4.5 seconds, which is
almost beside the point. What it actually offers here is five seats, a real boot, unmistakable
presence and genuine ability on the steep or unsealed driveways you find once you are outside the
suburbs. It is our most-booked wedding car, and western Sydney weddings around Camden and Bringelly
are a real part of why.
Lamborghini Huracan, but not for the airport leg
We will be straightforward about this because it saves everyone a difficult conversation at the
kerb. The Huracan has two seats and luggage capacity that is close to theoretical. It is the most
dramatic car we run, its naturally aspirated V10 and all-wheel drive make it more forgiving in the
wet than most of its rivals, and it is a superb thing to have for three days in the mountains.
It is not a car to meet a flight with if you have bags. The sensible arrangement, and the one
we suggest regularly, is a practical vehicle for the arrival and the Huracan handed over the next
morning once the luggage is already at the hotel. Two handovers, no compromise, and nobody
discovers the boot situation in a car park at midnight.
Multi-Car and Corporate Bookings
Groups arriving together are the booking type most often got wrong, usually by being made as
several separate hires that happen to share a date.
Tell us it is one group
Three cars for one party is a different logistical problem from three unrelated hires. The
handover should happen once, in one place, with one person walking the group through it rather
than three separate conversations at three separate times. We plan it that way when we know, and
we cannot when we do not.
Additional drivers, declared properly
Every driver must be listed on the booking and must meet the same licence, age and history
requirements as the person who made it. An unlisted driver voids cover completely. This is not a
rule we are flexible about, and it catches corporate groups more often than any other kind,
because someone always assumes the booking covers the team rather than the named driver.
Runs of dates rather than single days
If a project brings someone west every fortnight for six months, that is a different
conversation from a series of one-day hires, and it should be priced as one. Say so at the start
and we will treat it properly.
The Verification Step We Do Not Skip
Identity is checked in person at handover, against the actual licence, with the actual person
who will drive the car. Not by uploading a photograph in advance, and not by a phone call.
This is occasionally inconvenient and it is not negotiable, for the obvious reason: these are
vehicles worth a great deal of money and the in-person check is the single most effective control
against the one category of loss that genuinely hurts. Everybody who has been through it once
understands why, and it adds a few minutes rather than a delay.
Booking Into the Opening Season
WSI takes its first passengers on 25 October 2026. For the first months the airport will be
busy in ways nobody can model precisely, and the prestige end of any rental fleet is finite by
definition. There is exactly one G-Wagon and one Huracan.
If a specific car matters for a specific date, particularly in that opening window, book it
rather than plan to. And if the car you wanted is already out, the alternatives we will offer are
genuine ones at the same tier rather than a downgrade with an apology attached.
Where you will actually park it
One practical advantage of a western arrival that rarely gets mentioned. Accommodation around
Penrith, Liverpool, Camden and the Macarthur region overwhelmingly has genuine off-street parking,
which a CBD hotel does not. Leaving a prestige car in the city typically costs between sixty and
ninety dollars a night on top of the room, and it means leaving it in a public garage.
West of Parramatta that problem largely disappears. It is worth confirming with your hotel
before you book, because across a week it changes the real cost of the trip more than most people
expect, and it removes the low-level anxiety of wondering what is happening to the car overnight.

If the Range Rover Sport is booked
We never move you down a tier. If your dates are taken, these are the luxury cars we will offer instead, and we will tell you plainly if none of them is free rather than substituting something lesser on the day.
Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon
- 430kW
- 4.5s
- AWD
- 5 seats
Five seats, a proper boot and the most recognised shape on the road. The one people book when the arrival itself is part of the occasion.
Lamborghini Huracan
- 449kW
- 3.2s
- AWD
- 2 seats
Naturally aspirated V10, all-wheel drive, and almost no luggage space. Book it for the drive west, not for the airport run with four bags.
Corporate and event bookings
Multiple cars, multiple drivers or a run of dates. Tell us the shape of it and we will price the whole thing properly rather than as separate hires.
Guide rates, weekday winter pricing. Longer hires taper; the exact total for your dates is shown before you pay.
The bond held on your card equals the excess of the cover you choose. It is a pre-authorisation, released after return.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you charge an airport surcharge at WSI?
No, and we do not charge one at Mascot either. Airport surcharges exist because rental companies pay concession fees for on-site counters and pass them on. We do not have a counter at any airport, so there is nothing to pass on.
Where does the handover actually happen?
At an agreed point at the terminal, confirmed with you before the day. We track your flight and the car is there when you come out. If you would prefer the handover at a hotel or an office in the Aerotropolis precinct instead, we will do that. We have hosts based at Badgerys Creek, St Marys and Cecil Hills, so anywhere in the precinct is a local run.
Can I hire more than one car for a group?
Yes, and it is worth telling us that up front rather than making separate bookings. Multiple cars arriving together need one handover plan, not three, and we price a genuine multi-car booking differently from three unrelated ones.
Is a supercar a sensible airport car?
Usually not, and we will say so. The Huracan has two seats and almost no luggage space. If you are landing with bags it is the wrong car for the airport leg, even if it is exactly the right car for the three days that follow. We can hand it over the next morning instead.
What identification do you need?
A full licence, held for the required period, and in-person verification at handover. That check happens face to face rather than by uploading a photograph, which is deliberate and not something we waive for convenience.
Can the car be delivered somewhere other than the airport?
Yes. Delivery is how we operate everywhere in Sydney, not a special airport service. A hotel in Penrith, an office in Liverpool or an address in Camden are all the same transaction to us.
