If you asked a hundred people to picture a luxury SUV, most would describe this. That recognition is the entire product, and it is why the Vogue gets booked for arrivals more than for journeys. It is also a 2013, and that is worth putting near the top of the page rather than in the small print.

The figure worth addressing first is the year. This is a 2013, six years older than anything
else we run, and we would rather say that here than let you discover it in a driveway.

The Age Question, Answered Properly

A 2013 Range Rover Vogue is now a twelve-year-old car. What that does and does not mean is worth
being specific about, because the honest answer is more interesting than either the defensive or
the dismissive version.

What it does not affect is the thing people book this car for. The shape is essentially
unchanged, the presence is identical, and in photographs nobody can tell the year. If the point of
the booking is a wedding arrival, a client collection or an occasion where the car appears in
pictures, the age is genuinely irrelevant to the outcome you are paying for.

What it does affect is the interior technology and the outright pace. The screens and the
infotainment are of their era rather than current, and 250kW moving this much car produces adequate
rather than impressive acceleration. If either of those matters, the Range Rover Sport is the
later, quicker vehicle and we would point you there instead.

What It Is Actually Like in Sydney

The back seat is the best in the fleet

This is the car's real distinction and it is why it dominates chauffeured bookings. The rear
legroom is generous in a way that almost nothing else here matches, the ride absorbs Sydney's worse
surfaces without transmitting them, and it is quiet enough for a conversation at motorway speed.

For a client in the back, a couple on a wedding day, or anyone whose experience of the car is as
a passenger rather than a driver, that combination is exactly what the money is buying.

It rides better than newer, larger-wheeled SUVs

Air suspension on relatively sensible wheels is a combination modern prestige SUVs have largely
abandoned in favour of enormous rims and thin tyres. The practical consequence is that this
absorbs potholes, expansion joints and patched suburban tarmac more comfortably than several newer
and more expensive cars in the tier.

It is genuinely capable, within the rules

Unlike most of the road-biased prestige SUVs, this has real four-wheel drive underneath it. That
matters on a gravel driveway, on a wet unsealed access road, or on a rural property.

Permitted use is still sealed and formed dirt roads only - no genuine off-roading, beach
driving, water crossings or rock work. The car would manage considerably more than the terms allow,
and the limit is the cover rather than the vehicle.

Things You Should Know

It is large, and you will notice in a car park

Wide, long and tall. Multi-storey car parks with tight ramps and low clearance bars are the real
constraint, and it is worth checking the posted height limit anywhere you plan to leave it
overnight. Visibility is good and the cameras help, but the footprint is simply large.

Five seats, not seven

Worth stating because the size implies otherwise. If you need a third row, the Mercedes GLS and
the Audi Q7 are the seven-seat options in this tier, and the eight-seat Kia Carnival is the answer
when there are genuinely more than seven of you.

Fuel is a real line on a long trip

A heavy older SUV consumes accordingly. Over a weekend around Sydney it is unremarkable; over a
long regional trip it is a number worth working out in advance. If the itinerary is big, the
Defender's diesel will cost you noticeably less to run over the same distance, and we will say so
rather than let you find out at the second fill.

When This Is the Right Booking

Book the Vogue when arriving is the point: a wedding, a client day, a formal, a photoshoot, or
any occasion where the car is part of what people see. Book it when someone will be in the back
seat for a meaningful stretch and their comfort is what you are buying. Book it when the driveway
at the other end is gravel.

Do not book it when you want the newest or quickest thing available, when you need seven seats,
or when the trip is a long motorway run where fuel and pace both start to matter. There are better
cars here for all three, and we would rather point you at them.

Chauffeured or Self-Drive

This is the car where that decision changes the value most, because the Vogue's best quality is
what it is like to sit in the back of rather than what it is like to drive.

Self-drive suits a weekend away, a trip to a property, or anyone who simply wants the car for a
few days. It is comfortable and undemanding to drive, and there is nothing about it that requires a
professional.

Chauffeured suits the occasions this car is most often booked for. A wedding where the couple
should be in the back rather than parking. A client day where the point is arriving without anyone
thinking about the logistics. A formal. An evening where drinking is likely. On those, the
combination of the rear-seat comfort and someone else handling the car is the entire proposition,
and it is worth more than the difference in price.

The comparison to run is not chauffeured against self-drive, but chauffeured against self-drive
plus parking plus the trip home - which for an event is the honest total.

Why an Older Car Is Not a Cheaper One

A reasonable question given the year, and worth answering rather than dodging.

Hire pricing on a prestige vehicle tracks what the car delivers and what it costs to run and
insure, not its build date. What this one delivers - the shape people recognise, the rear-seat
space, the ride, the presence in a photograph - is undiminished by being a 2013. A newer car with
the same badge would not do that job any better on the day.

Where the age does show up honestly is in the interior technology and the pace, and those are the
two reasons to choose the Range Rover Sport instead. If neither matters for your booking, you are
not paying a premium for age; you are paying for the thing the car is actually for.

A Note on Photographs

A large share of Vogue bookings exist partly so the car appears in pictures, so a few practical
points from the shoots we have supported.

The shape reads best from a low three-quarter angle rather than straight on, which flattens it.
Darker backgrounds separate the body better than bright ones. And the single most useful thing is
simply arriving somewhere with space around the car - a crowded venue forecourt with three other
vehicles in shot produces a worse photograph than an ordinary street with room to stand back.

If the photographs genuinely matter, tell us when you book. It occasionally changes what we would
suggest about timing, and it is worth knowing in advance rather than being an unstated expectation
on the day.

Booking It

Tell us the dates, the occasion and whether you want it self-drive or chauffeured - the last one
changes the shape of the booking more than the choice of car does. The bond, the kilometre
allowance and any delivery cost are shown with the hire price before you pay, and the minimum
driver age on this tier is 20 with a full unrestricted licence.

If you are weighing this against the Range Rover Sport and cannot decide, tell us the
occasion rather than the specification. That single answer settles it more reliably than any
comparison of the two spec sheets does.

If the Range Rover Vogue is booked

We never move you down a tier. If your dates are taken, these are the luxury cars we will offer instead, and we will tell you plainly if none of them is free rather than substituting something lesser on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How old is the car, really?

It is a 2013, which makes it the oldest vehicle in our fleet. We put that on the page rather than leaving you to find it at handover. It is maintained properly and presents well, but if you want the newest possible car this is not it - the Range Rover Sport is a later vehicle and there are three of them.

Is it actually four-wheel drive?

Yes, genuinely so rather than decoratively. Permitted use is still sealed roads and formed dirt roads - no beach driving, water crossings or rock work - but within that it is far more capable than the road-biased SUVs in the tier.

How quick is it?

250kW and 6.9 seconds to 100, which is comfortably adequate and nothing more. It is a heavy car and it does not pretend otherwise. If pace matters, the Range Rover Sport or the X6 are the quicker choices in the same broad category.

How many does it seat?

Five, with genuinely generous rear legroom - this is a car that treats back-seat passengers well, which is the whole point for chauffeured and client-facing bookings. If you need seven, the GLS or the Q7 are the right calls.

Where do I collect it?

Mascot or Parramatta, or we deliver anywhere across the Sydney metro. Delivery is priced by distance and shown with the hire and bond before you pay.

Can it be chauffeured?

Yes, and it is one of the cars most often booked that way. For a wedding, a client day or any event where arriving matters more than driving, chauffeured removes the parking question entirely.

What licence and age do I need?

A full unrestricted licence, checked in person at handover. The minimum age on the Luxury tier is 20 rather than the 25 that applies to Exotic and Supercar. Young Driver Cover (+25% of the daily hire) applies under 25.

Is there a security bond?

Yes, stated on your booking before you pay, held as a pre-authorisation against the named driver's card rather than charged, and released once the car is back as it left.

What does it use in fuel?

A meaningful amount - it is a large, heavy, older SUV and the consumption reflects all three. Budget generously for a long trip. For distance work the Defender's diesel is markedly more economical, which is worth weighing if the itinerary is long rather than local.
